Capacity Development

Capacity Development

GEI works with partners to strengthen the capacities of policy makers, evaluators, and other monitoring and evaluation (M&E) professionals.

GEI supports a range of learning and professional development activities through which participants build the skills and tools needed to generate, manage, and use evidence for more effective decision‑making.

GEI also fosters collaboration across its network to strengthen professional development offerings. Working groups and joint initiatives enable partners to exchange knowledge and integrate cross‑cutting themes into training content, contributing to stronger M&E systems and more effective policy making.

Partnership with ENAP: TAQYEEM

The TAQYEEM program is part of GEI’s collaborative efforts in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to strengthen evaluation capacities and national monitoring and evaluation ecosystems. The program is delivered by the École Nationale d’Administration Publique (ENAP), in partnership with GEI and the Islamic Development Bank

Internship program

To help address some of the challenges faced by Young and Emerging Evaluators (YEEs), GEI has launched the hands-on internship program, which aims to strengthen practical M&E skills and soft skills of young evaluators through hands-on learning and mentorship. The program exposes local young evaluators to various areas of M&E system development, aligning with GEI's objective to strengthen national M&E systems, develop M&E competencies, and expand professional networks
