GEI invites everyone, from the global monitoring and evaluation (M&E) community and beyond, to join this year's edition of gLOCAL. Under the special theme “The Future of M&E: Culture, Context, and Collaboration”, the Week will take place from May 29 to June 2, with a mix of in-person and virtual events around the world. The call for proposals is now open and event ideas can be submitted until March 31.

As GEI's main knowledge-sharing event, gLOCAL brings together a global community of people across sectors and regions. The event supports the exchange of M&E knowledge and experiences to promote evaluation capacity development, support evidence-based decision-making, and strengthen development outcomes at a local and global level. Inspired by this year's special theme, organizers are encouraged to explore thematic areas that are crucial for the effective practice and institutionalization of M&E. The theme also underlines the importance of adapting M&E approaches to the local cultural and socio-demographic context, understanding how some M&E practices are embedded in institutional and social contexts, and exploring the role that partnership and collaboration can play in strengthening our practice.

Since its inception in 2019, gLOCAL has hosted nearly 1500 M&E-focused events across five continents in multiple languages. Over the past four years, thousands of gLOCAL event participants including international organizations, regional M&E bodies, (sub-) national governmental and non-governmental organizations, decision-makers, commissioners, Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation, academics, and researchers, and other experts have joined this global movement.

gLOCAL is convened by the GEI network and its partner organizations. For more information on how to participate in or organize an event, visit our gLOCAL website.
