"Evaluation development in Tajikistan: Opportunities for Partnership and Cooperation"

Roundtable | Hybrid

About the Event

Tajikistan aims to achieve the SDGs by nationalising sustainable development goals in the country's national development strategy for the period up to 2030, regional development plans, urban and district development programmes and sectoral development programmes. At the same time, normative legal documents on monitoring and evaluation are being developed in parallel to track the degree of achievement of the established indicators. Thus, in 2019, the "Procedure for M&E of Strategic Development Documents" No. 615 was adopted. A new document is currently being drafted, taking into account best practices and lessons learned from 2019 to 2023. At the same time, there is a need to develop evaluation capacity in the country, both in government agencies, academia and civil society.
A multi-stakeholder roundtable within the framework of Glocal Evaluation Week - 7 June 20-24, will bring together efforts to identify priority areas for evaluation development in Tajikistan. Representatives from government agencies, academia and civil society will discuss important areas for evaluation capacity development in the country, taking into account their vision, challenges and opportunities.
