The session will focus on the importance of using data and evidence to inform decision-making and shape effective education programs in Cambodia. Panelists will share their experiences and expertise using data-driven approaches to address challenges and improve educational outcomes. From evaluating program effectiveness to identifying areas for improvement, we'll explore how evidence-based practices can lead to meaningful transformation in Cambodia's educational landscape.

This event is co-organised by IDInsight and the American University of Phnom Penh. Dr. Kann Puthy Deputy Director of the Basic Education Department, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) Dr. Kann Puthy is the Deputy Director of the Basic Education Department, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The ministry works on formulating education policies, managing educational institutions, and promoting youth engagement and sports programs nationwide. He holds a Doctor Degree in Educational Science from Asia Euro University and Master Degree in Educational Administration from National Institute of Education, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Dr. Kimkong Heng Co-founder and Chief Editor, Cambodian Education Forum and Cambodian Journal of Educational Research Dr. Kimkong Heng is currently an Australia Awards scholar and a PhD candidate in the School of Education at the University of Queensland, Australia. He is co-founder and chief editor of the Cambodian Education Forum and the Cambodian Journal of Educational Research.
Mia Jeong Senior Manager, IDinsight Mia is a Senior Manager at IDinsight, based in the Philippines. Mia leads project teams to deliver innovative research, build capacities, and advise clients working in environment, governance, and agriculture. Mia has over 10 years of experience in UN agencies and NGOs supporting programs in complex emergency and developing country contexts.
