About the Event

This seminar explores the transformative power of capacity building methodologies, like GEMS, in revolutionizing data ecosystems. By training users on low-cost data tools and providing ongoing support to users, these methodologies empower stakeholders to harness the power of data. Attendees will learn about the data lifecycle and tools that support processes from field data collection to dashboards for decision making. The session will draw on case studies from Brazil related to monitoring and evaluation and environmental and social safeguards. The session will be conducted in Portuguese, with the option of English translation available.

Maria Garrido Anllo Operations Analyst - Geo-Enabling Initiative for Monitoring & Supervision María is part of the leadership team in the Geo-Enabling Initiative for Monitoring & Supervision at the WBG. She leads engagements in LAC & Lusophone Africa. Before joining the WBG she worked as international trade advisor. She holds an MBA & a Master of Law & Business Administration & Management.
Ethel Mendez Castillo M&E Specialist - Geo-Enabling Initiative for Monitoring & Supervision Ethel is the focal point for the WBG's Geo-Enabling Initiative for Monitoring & Supervision in Central America & the Dominican Republic. She has multi-sectorial experience designing and implementing M&E systems across LAC, South Asia & beyond. She holds an MPA in Public & Non-profit Management.
Gabriela Lacerda Executive Manager - Learning Center on Evaluation and Results Gabriela is the Executive Manager of the Learning Center on Evaluation & Results for Lusophone Africa and Brazil. She has 20 years of experience in the public sector, including as Secretary of State for Strategic Actions. Gabriela has postgraduate studies in Constitutional Law & Social Science.
