Sidra Bashir | Program Manager, Analytics, CERP | Sidra Bashir is a Program Manager for COVID-19 Policy Response Project titled “Smart Containment with Active Learning (SCALE)’ at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan. She has previously worked as Program Support Officer with UNFPA and as a Data Analysis Consultant at Population Welfare Department, Govt. of Punjab under the WISH2ACTION Programme Pakistan, aiming to improve sexual and reproductive and maternal health in Pakistan. Sidra holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from University of Edinburgh, UK and has completed her Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore. |
Ali Akram | Senior Researcher, Mathematica | Ali Akram (PhD, Environmental Economics, Yale University) is a Senior Researcher at Mathematica, where he leads quantitative impact evaluation and cost-benefit analyses in the agriculture and water sectors. At Mathematica, he serves as project director for a USAID-funded water access and quality investment project in Uganda, leading the design and implementation of cost-benefit modelling and analysis. He is also quantitative evaluation lead for a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded multi-country quantitative impact evaluation of a private sector agricultural extension program in Africa. Additionally, Ali serves as deputy project director for a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded market test of a nutritional supplement for pregnant and lactating women in Pakistan, co-leading survey and analysis work. Finally, he serves as the quantitative analysis lead for an evaluation of a family planning project in Indonesia, along with providing quality assurance on quantitative analyses and data collection activities more broadly at the company. Ali’s past professional and research experience encompasses the design and execution of quantitative impact evaluation, cost-benefit models and cost-effectiveness analyses. His work spans themes in public health including WASH, nutrition and family planning; and climate change adaptation and impact assessment, especially for the agricultural sector. His past and work is situated across the developing world, including Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Pakistan, Thailand and Sierra Leone. |
Asif Jehanzeb Khan | Programme Officer Operations, RSPN | With over 17 years of experience in the development sector, Asif Jehanzeb is a seasoned professional. He brings extensive expertise in project design, management, and implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. His skill set also encompasses conducting baselines and research studies, evaluating the impact of various programmatic interventions such as poverty alleviation, infrastructure, and social sectors like health and education projects. |
