Celebrating Women in Evaluation on International Women's Day 2025

Women in evaluation are shaping a more inclusive, rigorous, impactful field — leading evaluations, and driving evidence use around the world. Yet, gender barriers persist— limiting access to leadership, fair pay, and career growth.
The good news? The field of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is already home to a vast pool of experienced and talented female evaluators from diverse backgrounds. These women are breaking barriers, leading boldly, inspiring others, and encouraging more women to step in. But more work is needed to build an equitable M&E sector.
In celebration of International Women's Day 2025, the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) will honor all women working to strengthen M&E by launching a series of interviews featuring inspiring women working in evaluation across sectors, organizations, and regions. This series will spotlight evaluation experts, government officials, parliamentarians, CEOs, and young evaluators, among others.
Stay tuned! The "Women in M&E" (woMEn) interview series will be released in the coming weeks as we dedicate the entire month of March to celebrating women in M&E.
