About the Event

Join Learning and Evaluation for Australian Funders (LEAF) and SmartyGrants for a transformative one-day learning event designed to enhance the capacity of grantmakers in evaluation and impact measurement.
You might say ‘I am not an evaluator but I want to know the impact of our grant program’ – then this is for you!
If you’re serious about making evaluation of your grantmaking more effective, transparent, and impactful, this is the must-attend event of the year. This immersive, face-to-face workshop is designed to take your evaluation skills to the next level, equipping you with practical tools, real-world insights, and a fresh perspective on impact measurement.
Expect a day filled with dynamic discussions, hands-on activities, and high-energy interactions with leading experts and peers. Unlike traditional conferences, this workshop prioritises real engagement—no passive listening, no endless slides. Instead, you’ll be actively involved in shaping conversations, problem-solving with fellow grantmakers and evaluators, and leaving with a clear action plan to apply what you’ve learned.
By the end of the day, you won’t just have new knowledge—you’ll have actionable insights from each session, a set of tailored Practice Sheets to guide implementation, and a stronger network of like-minded professionals.
This isn’t just another conference—it’s a practical, high-energy workshop designed to make a real difference in how you evaluate and measure impact in grantmaking
