About the Event
The "Made in Africa Evaluation" (MAE) approach, championed by the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA), emphasizes evaluation practices rooted in African philosophies, values, and contexts. As Africa faces complex development challenges—youth unemployment, poverty, and the need for localized solutions—MAE offers a framework to ensure evaluations are culturally responsive, inclusive, and transformative. Young and Emerging Evaluators (YEEs) represent the future of this agenda, yet their involvement remains limited due to barriers like lack of access to networks, resources, and mentorship. This panel aims to bridge that gap by exploring how YEEs can become active champions of MAE, driving its adoption and evolution.
