Leveraging AI Tools for Smarter Research & M&E

Webinar | Online

About the Event

This session will demystify AI tools that simplify M&E workflows—from data collection to reporting—while highlighting how these tools can make participatory processes easier (e.g., automating transcription of community feedback). The webinar is designed to include the following key parts:
Pre-webinar poll: Ask attendees which M&E task they’d most like to automate.
Map AI tools to key M&E challenges (e.g., manual data cleaning, slow reporting).
Demo 3-4 tools with M&E use cases:
Automated Surveys & Data Collection: KoboToolbox (AI-powered skip logic).
Qualitative Analysis: ChatGPT (theme extraction from reports), MAXQDA (AI-assisted coding).
Summarising multiple reports and writing with citation: Anara
Discuss ethical risks (bias mitigation, data privacy) and low-tech alternatives.
Key Takeaways:
A curated list of AI tools sorted by M&E task (e.g., "For thematic analysis, try Chatgpt").
Criteria to choose tools (cost, ease of use, data security).
How AI can reduce grunt work, freeing time for participatory engagement.
Post-session resource: One-pager with tool links, tutorials, and case studies.
