About the Event

As the global community accelerates efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), evaluation plays a critical role in ensuring that policies and programs contribute effectively to sustainable development. This session, organized by the Eurasian Alliance of National Evaluation Associations, will explore how evaluation practices in Eurasia can drive positive change, enhance accountability, and foster inclusive growth.
Our expert panel will discuss methodologies and frameworks for evaluating sustainability-focused initiatives, share regional case studies, and highlight challenges and opportunities in applying impact evaluation to social, environmental, and economic development programs. The session will also examine how evaluation can support evidence-based decision-making in key areas such as climate action, social equity, and responsible business practices.
Participants will gain insights into innovative evaluation approaches, cross-sector collaboration, and the role of evaluators in shaping policies for a more sustainable future. The session is designed for evaluators, policymakers, and development practitioners seeking to strengthen the role of evaluation in advancing sustainable development across the Eurasian region.
