About the Event

Building on the success of last year’s event on Monitoring SDG 5, this webinar offers the next iteration in glocal conversation series—focusing on evaluating SDG 5 and the broader 2030 Agenda through a gender and intersectional lens. With less than five years remaining of the 2030 Agenda, and in the face of mounting backlash against gender equality, it is more crucial than ever to leverage evaluation evidence to shape a more inclusive, sustainable, and peaceful post-2030 world. This webinar will bring together key stakeholders—including evaluators, policymakers, gender experts, and civil society actors—to unpack how evaluation can advance gender equality while addressing interconnected challenges like environmental sustainability and social inclusion. Featured contributions include discussions on Gender Equality Beyond 2030: Rethinking Progress in a Post-SDG World and UN Women’s recent Gendered Analysis of the Impact of Climate Change on Poverty, Productivity, and Food Insecurity. Aligned with this year’s theme, Evaluation for a Better Future: Environmental Sustainability, Inclusion, and Peace, this event aims to foster dialogue and strengthen evaluation practices that support a just, gender-equal future.
