The UN World Food Programme, in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, empowers youth in Kenya and Rwanda through innovative agri-food systems projects. In Kenya, Vijana in Kilimobizz fosters sustainability and inclusivity in agriculture, impacting 39,557 youth (51% women). Rwanda's Shora Neza creates youth jobs via Farmer Service Centres and micro-agribusinesses. Innovative, participatory evaluation methods capture socio-economic impacts, emphasizing meaningful engagement, networks, and empowerment, with a focus on gender equality and youth inclusion.

Veronica Rammala Head of Assessments, Monitoring and Evaluation, WFP Rwanda Country Office Veronica Rammala, a South African in Rwanda's WFP office, has decades of experience, including 5 years in Evaluation. She led McGovern-Dole School Feeding and Mastercard Foundation evaluations and contributed to Rwanda's CSP Evaluation, influencing the new CSP's design with evidence-based insights.
Damaris Mulewa Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, WFP Kenya Country Office. With over a decade of experience in Program Management & MERL, Damaris has expertise in health, nutrition, emergency response, livelihoods, and social protection. Her professional journey includes working with WFP and consulting for IFAD, Queen’s University, PCD, and KEMRI.
Fatima Mohsin Programme Officer, Climate & Resilience, WFP Eastern & Southern Africa Region Fatima leads the East Africa portfolio of the Youth in Work programme for WFP, covering Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. She has expertise in food systems, particularly value chain development and access to finance. She has worked in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa with over 15 years in the sector.

Valerie Munyeti Evaluation Officer, WFP, Eastern and Southern Africa Region. Valerie Munyeti is a seasoned monitoring, evaluation, and reporting specialist with 19+ years of experience across gender, health, humanitarian work, children's governance, climate change, conflict management, and peacebuilding. She has worked with UN agencies, INGOs, and civil societies, providing technical support and overseeing evaluations. Currently, she serves as an Evaluation Specialist at the World Food Programme’s Eastern and Southern Africa Region Office. Previously, she was a Monitoring Specialist at UNICEF’s Eastern and Southern Africa Region, assisting 21 African nations; and UNDP Kenya. With expertise in managing evaluations and supporting M&E operations, Valerie has shaped impactful strategies across multiple sectors. Her contributions extend to public-private partnerships, policy development, and advisory roles within UN-led initiatives. Passionate about achieving meaningful results, she brings a comprehensive perspective to development challenges.
