About the Event
Key Elements of Institutionalized M&E (60 mins)
In this 60-minute session, we will take organizations through the process of institutionalizing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), ensuring that it becomes an integral part of decision-making, leadership, and operations, rather than just a project requirement. Through a step-by-step framework, we will cover the essential elements of embedding M&E across all levels of an organization.
We will start by discussing how M&E can be prioritized at the leadership level and integrated into the organization's governance structure.
The session will then guide participants in crafting a Theory of Change and aligning impact goals and outcomes across different cadres of the organization to ensure everyone is working towards the same objectives.
Next, we will explore the importance of identifying lean indicators that are relevant and aligned with the organizational goals.
With these indicators in hand, we will discuss how to design practical, effective tools to track them.
The session will also focus on establishing a robust data collection system, including the right technologies and quality assurance processes, based on the organization’s context and size. We will emphasize the need for using technology to enhance data management and reporting, ensuring that the data is accurate, timely, and accessible.
Once the data is collected, we will address how organizations can ask the right questions to use evidence effectively for decision-making. With the right analysis plans in place, organizations can make informed, evidence-based decisions to guide their programs.
Lastly, we will discuss how to tailor reporting to meet the needs of different stakeholders, ensuring that insights are presented in a way that drives action and supports strategic objectives.
